Soomsoom Pita Pockets, a Durham-based Mediterranean food truck, is currently looking for a full-time Sous Chef!

The Sous Chef's position comes with a variety of responsibilities, including driving the truck, prep, catering, working on the truck, managing shifts and other team members, and fully operating and driving the truck in the chef's absence. Kitchen experience is a must. Prior experience driving a larger box-type truck is a plus.

Schedule flexibility, reliable transportation, clean driving record, personal responsibility, solid work ethic, passion for good food, detail oriented, and great attitude are a must for this position. We are a high-volume food truck with a great team of employees. We like to work hard and have fun doing so. This is a physical position. Applicants must be able to lift heavy loads, work under pressure, and stand for extended periods of time.

We are specifically looking for somebody who would help us operating, prepping and serving in the kiosk and in the truck.

We're looking for people with a driver license and a reliable transportation. You'll have to be able to stand on your feet for long periods of time, to lift a minimum of 50lbs and to work for breakfast, lunch or dinner time during the week and the weekend, schedules will vary.

Prior experience in food industry/bakery is a plus but not necessary.
